Introducing some interesting Tweeple at lunchtime today: New Feature

From today I’ll be starting a nearly daily (i.e., when I’m not indisposed) lunchtime feature introducing some of the new organisations and people who are coming onto Twitter, or who have twitter-streams that usually include interesting links and comments.

It should usually be at midday, and it starts today.

Welcome to Twexpert - the blog that Makes Twitter Fly

Welcome to Twexpert - the blog that shows you how to Make Twitter Fly.

I hope you enjoy reading the articles here, and remember that before long I will be releasing an E-Book about Twitter.

More Fun with Twitter and an Imminent Twitter E-Book

I put out a piece on Saturday looking at Twitter growth rates on Labour List. I’ve had my own mini Twitter “lunge” over the weekend, so I’d better put my own statistics up before anyone else does.

The reason for this lunge is that I am writing an E-Book: How you can make Twitter Fly, and have done some catching up. The jump in growth is due to my following bloggers I recognise on Twitter, and “auto-followbacks” which are used by some UK new services.

Anyway, this E-Book should be coming soon …

Civil Liberties Resource Pages for Bloggers: Libel Law, Photographers, Dooced Bloggers

I have started building a record of bloggers who have been threatened in various ways, and also photographers who have been subjected to official harassment.

The pages can be accessed through the Resources menu.

  1. A list of UK bloggers subjected to legal threats.
  2. A list of published Cease and Desist letters.
  3. A list of UK bloggers sacked for blogging.
  4. A list of UK photographer subjected to harassment by police or other officials. This one has been built furthest to date with around 15 examples listed and cited.
  5. Policies that should be in Manifestos at the next Election.

This is a slow-burn project, as there is so much evidence out there and not much hope of shifting things until we get a new government in the UK.

Links would be appreciated to the pages from editorial articles and the sidebars - this will be a major project for me.
